That was one hot week!

Katy was not having a real good time showing her hogs this year. It was very hot and humid for the entire week. She received a little coaching from her Aunt Lynda during the show that coaxed a smile.

Her entries came in at 270# for the Duroc gilt and 318# for the blue butt barrow. The barrow earned her a Reserve Grand Champion for rate of gain @ 2.664.

Katy's poultry entries did very well. She earned a total of nine blue ribbons and a Grand Champion in one class. Overall she won Reserve Grand Champion for the show.

Hot weather and squirt bottles go hand in hand.

My lovely wife and our friend Doc entered the super farmer contest. This was a first this year and a ton of fun to watch.

Look at those guns!

She definitely got a good work out.

Katy and her partner made the finals but I don't think her hay bale toss helped them much. The bale probably came close to out weighing her. She managed a toss of seven feet though.

The agony of defeat with a smile on her face. I love fair week!
