Sadly this afternoon I found Elvis. He had started to get into some pretty good throwdowns with our old fat assed, one spurred mutt rooster. In their jousting Elvis suffered a few head wounds and a bad eye.
A rooster with monocular vision at a residence with three opportunistic dogs is an unlucky dude.
I only regret that I didn't get him in the pot before the canine posse got their man. He won't really be missed for his internal clock was set somewhere between time zones in the mid-Atlantic.

LOL we have a Elvis too. But unfortunately he hasn't left the building yet. He fights with everything that moves and we know every morning when 4am has arrived. He is never late. Think maybe he should hit the pot soon.
We just got back from being out-of-town for a few days... enjoyed getting caught up. I hope you get a digital camera before the mp3 player, for selfish reasons. :) If I was spending that much time in the car per day, I'd lean towards the mp3 player myself though.
Sorry the dogs got your dinner!

Although Elvis seems like the opposite of a rooster that I once had, it still reminded me of raising chickens and my rooster named Rufus. He too met a tragic end.
Hate to hear about Elvis, ya never know, he may be spotted at a near by KFC. lol Elvis Lives!!!!

RIP Elvis! perhaps you might enjoy a lie-in in the mornings now?
Though I didn't know you, Elvis, and you sound like kind of an unattractive pain in the ass of a bird...
One day you'll be able to sneak attack all these cold-hearted people in heaven. Peck at them. And then crow for eternity.
Rock on, Elvis. Rock on.
I hope our uur one-eyed rooster, Scarface, can keep his lucky streak going!
Sorry to hear about Elvis' departure.
